Turtle spoke a single word, “And?” Badger knew it was both a reassurance and an invitation.
Wandering in the Darkness, Raven heard a voice from behind a wall saying, “I have the Light and I will keep it hidden away.”
Turtle lay submersed beneath the waters of the pond.
As Winter releases her grip, life again returns to the pond.
And Turtle basks in the renewed warmth of the sun.
The world around him seemed to have shifted.
He dearly missed Hawk’s conversation.
Turtle approached the peninsula where he hoped he might meet his friend.
When he climbed to meet her, his joy vanished.
Turtle waited, for Badger had turned away.
The tiny sett was adequate at best.
“With your help we might understand this mystery.”
There was a past world, when so many turned away from the Light that the Creator felt the need to start again. Pterosaurs battling over a fish.
The singularity.
Raven began to perceive differences.
The Old Man’s fear surrounded him, and he tried to pass it on to Raven.
Raven encounters a wall and hears voices, but can find no way to enter.
Raven, transformed into a child, is doted on by the Old Man and his daughter.
As soon as he is given the last box, Raven transforms to make his escape with the Light.
The world revealed.
Seeing the beauty of his daughter, the Old Man felt shame, and with his tears passed it into the world.
When at least Turtle spoke, it was to utter single word.
When Turtle arrived, he found Badger lost in thought.
Badger paused, waiting for the thoughts to come to her mind.
“But Teacher, did not you also make your journey out of fear?”
The weight of what they were saying had grown heavy on her.
Badger emptied her pouch onto teh ground before her.
Badger shifted one of the husks that lay before her.
Turtle raised his hands in supplication.
Of course Raven would go to the unconscious to reach another soul.
Badger picked up one of the pebbles and seemed to consider its color.
The cygnet asked, “Are you still afraid?”
Badger looked at him, deadly serious, and asked, “Then why do you talk so much?”
